This Client contacted us and asked if we were able to rescue her deck from the point of no return. The brief of the project was to remove and reinstate the handrails to code, remove and replace the stairs with a new set and remove and reinstate the decking boards. At first this project looked to be rather simple but as we begin removing different timbers it soon became clear they we needed to replace parts of the deck structure as well. Excavations were started and it soon became apparent how much spoils needed to be removed. Once we were able to place the new posts and landscaping completed we continued on to install the stairs and hand rails.

Rhys has engaged a crew that reflects his own approach to building; they were also courteous, punctual and tidy. As in many demolition and reconstruction projects, the final work undertaken was in excess of the initial plans and costs reflected this, however Rhys communicated the changes well and was clear in offering options to address the issues that arose. We also really appreciated a couple of additional issues that, despite being outside the original scope of the work discussed, Rhys was able to address and solve for us.
